Recent FrankerFaceZ Issues with Firefox
# TL;DR: Reinstall the add-on and wait for Firefox to approve an update, or switch to the userscript. Hello, I thought I'd make an issue giving users an overview of recent issues with FrankerFaceZ and Firefox. First, about three weeks ago, Twitch contacted me with details on an upcoming change that created a problem with FrankerFaceZ leading to module load errors on Twitch's website. It took a while for me to fix that, but I released the fix on March 4th. Twitch released another change to internals that caused issues for a large number of users on March 10th, without notifying me ahead of time. I don't blame them for this. Things like this happen with such complex systems. The change was also released as an A/B test, so not all users experienced the issue. The problem here, is that Firefox still hasn't approved the release from March 4th, let alone the release from March 11th fixing the newer issue. The version live on Firefox's add-ons store hasn't been updated since late December. In fact, Firefox recently *rejected* the March 4th update due to a failure to follow instructions on their own part when attempting to recreate the built extension from source files. They failed to install a dependency, and instead of doing even a surface level investigation of why their build failed they just rejected it and now we're back in line so it'll likely be another week before a build could potentially be approved. This, frankly, sucks. Firefox should be doing better for its users a
