Git - Add support for cancelling long commit operation (including its pre-commit script)

Type: Bug When using the 'Source Control' panel to commit/push, sometimes it get stuck endlessly (the blue line above the 'Message' field keeps running forever to show that something is running in the background). The only way I to cause it to stop - it to close ALL instances of VS Code, and re-open them. This happens more than you might expect (like once in a few weeks). Please develop a way to stop git commands that are running in the background (it would also be helpful when regretting very large commits and want to stop them during the (long) commit time) VS Code version: Code 1.74.2 (e8a3071ea4344d9d48ef8a4df2c097372b0c5161, 2022-12-20T10:26:09.430Z) OS version: Darwin x64 19.6.0 Modes: Sandboxed: No <details>
System Info
|Item|Value| |---|---| |CPUs|Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9750H CPU @ 2.60GHz (12 x 2600)| |GPU Status|2d_canvas: enabled
canvas_oop_rasterization: disabled_off
direct_rendering_display_compositor: disabled_off_ok
gpu_compositing: enabled
metal: disabled_off
multiple_raster_threads: enabled_on
opengl: enabled_on
rasterization: enabled
raw_draw: disabled_off_ok
skia_renderer: enabled_on
video_decode: enabled
video_encode: enabled
vulkan: disabled_off
webgl: enabled
webgl2: enabled
webgpu: disabled_off| |Load (avg)|8, 4, 3| |Memory (System)|32.00GB (0.55GB free)| |Process Argv|-psn_0_65552 --crash-reporter-id 61cd818d-44a5-46cb-a1bd-ccd50a28ca90| |Screen Reader|no| |VM|0%| </details><deta
