I'm having a hard time following your logic.. - Upvotes are to indicate a comment adds to the conversation, regardless of whether I agree with the view point expressed. - Down votes are to indicate that either I disagree with a comment, OR that the comment is abusive, argumentative, etc, but there is no way to specify which of those... ??? In reply to the edit: Some of us do actively upvote greyed comments, that's hardly a reason not to fix a system that's broken
