The steady pace of Nim development, the language and the communication around the new features like ARC and ORC is attracting goodwill and devs are trying Nim out. However as mentioned in many many places, Nim current success is not supported by the tooling and is actually despite it. ## Situation - https://forum.nim-lang.org/t/6682#41440 (User left with no linting, no resolution) - https://forum.nim-lang.org/t/6777#42197 (New user surprised by the weak IDE support) - https://forum.nim-lang.org/t/6756#42080 (Nim success is despite a good toolset) - ~~https://forum.nim-lang.org/t/6862#42899 (Starting a pure Nim Vscode extension) but code archived https://github.com/saem/vscode-nim-fork~~ edit: living at https://github.com/saem/vscode-nim - https://forum.nim-lang.org/t/6985#43816 Nimsuggest or VScode hindering module organization - https://forum.nim-lang.org/t/7014#44138 "Editor support is the biggest gripe I have with the language" - https://forum.nim-lang.org/t/7140#45056 Nim suggest doesn't work with Jester and Karax - Personally I have to deactivate nimsuggest while working on Weave because it gets stuck at 100% CPU almost immediately.
